SARS-CoV-2: Operating News 5. 11. 2020
Dear clients,
we would like to inform you about the current situation in Czech Republic.
In regards of the latest official government statement the Czech borders remain open, therefore the travelling for your treatment is still possible. Also the medical facilities remain in operation so we still offer the full services and the hygiene standards at our clinics are set up at the highest levels for your own safety and ours as well.
According to the latest announcement of Czech government the rules for travelling to Czech Republic were updated. It means that from 9th November 2020 all people travelling from countries with higher numbers of Covid cases must:
- Complete the questionnaire https://plf.uzis.cz/ prior to their arrival to Czech Republic.
- Send negative PCR test result for Covid to Czech hygiene office covid-hc@hygpraha.cz
- The result must not be older than 72 hours in case it was performed in another country of EU before entering the Czech Republic. This result must be sent to hygiene office immediately after entering Czech Republic.
- Alternatively it’s possible to have this test done in Czech Republic, in this case the hygiene office must receive the result within 5 days from entering Czech Republic. Gennet clinic can organize the PCR test for Covid for our clients (the price is 2,019 CZK)
-
There is an exception for people travelling for medical care - in case that you travel for urgent medical procedure, you are allowed to stay in Czech republic for a maximum of 12 hours without the need of the Covid test and registration.
The Czech government created a map showing which countries must follow the above rules. You can find the updated map here: https://koronavirus.mzcr.cz/seznam-zemi-podle-miry-rizika-nakazy/ The red countries are the most risky and the above mentioned rules apply on them. The orange/green countries are on the list with low risk and people travelling from these countries can travel in the some mode as before the Covid pandemic.
The rules for international travelling are changing every day, so we recommend to check the official websites of your state institutions (e.g. the Ministry of Health) where you can find the most updated information about the travel restrictions.
For foreign clients we still offer free consultation with our doctors via Skype or phone. You can order here.
We highly recommend to travel only in case that you feel absolutely healthy to avoid unnecessary complications. Also we need to inform you that in case that the PCR test in Czech republic turns to be positive, the patient must self-isolate in our country for 2 weeks (which is the minimum in case that the control tests are negative after 2 weeks of quarantine).
The Czech Republic is currently in emergency state and following rules are valid: wearing face masks, social distances, restaurants are open only for take away (until 8.00 pm), the non-essentials shops and services are closed (pharmacies and supermarkets remain open except Sundays), it’s not allowed to leave house between 9.00 pm and 5.00 am.
