Principles of the Embryoscope+ Incubator
In the Embryoscope+ incubator, the embryos are individually cultured in chambers with a built-in camera. The system also continuously monitors the cultivation conditions of embryos – temperature, CO2, O2 – providing an optimal environment for the embryo development. Due to its unique technology, embryologists have access to a complete record of embryo development without disrupting the optimal conditions for their growth.
During cultivation, the IDAScore software assigns each embryo a rating based on a deep learning algorithm to predict the viability of embryos cultured in the Embryoscope+ incubator.
IDAScore identifies embryos with the highest chance of implantation, serving as a complement to clinical decision-making and the final embryologists’ assessment. IDAScore objectively "compares" the given embryo with other embryos that have similar developmental patterns, generating a score correlating with the probability of implantation. The outputs generated by Embryoscope+ are excellent tools for embryologists to select the most suitable embryo for transfer.
Advantages of Permanent Embryo Monitoring
Based on the acquired information, it is possible to:
- select the most suitable embryos for transfer,
- maximize the implantation rate,
- increase the chance of pregnancy,
- significantly reduce the risk of complications and the rate of pregnancy loss,
- shorten the overall length of treatment,
- successfully treat women of advanced age.
